Los cafeteros de la frontera hispano portuguesa trabajaron entre la corrupción y la miseria en medio de una raya. Una etapa demasiado difícil. En plena posguerra española transitaban por la linde más antigua de Europa a la orilla del Guadiana. En 2017 esta frontera cumple 750 años. Los testimonios de aquellos viejos mochileros entre Encinasola (España) y Barrancos (Portugal) narran una historia de hambre en medio de dos dictaduras, la de Franco y Salazar.

The coffee growers of the Spanish-Portuguese border worked between corruption and misery in the middle of a line. Too difficult a stage. In the middle of the Spanish post-war period, they were traveling along the oldest border in Europe on the banks of the Guadiana. In 2017 this border turns 750 years old. The testimonies of those old backpackers between Encinasola (Spain) and Barrancos (Portugal) narrate a story of hunger in the midst of two dictatorships, that of Franco and Salazar.

Tamara Benítez se inicia como cineasta en 2006 comenzando su formación en Comunicación Audiovisual y especializándose con un Máster en Guion, narrativa y creatividad audiovisual. Su recorrido profesional ha sido variado, trabajando tanto en cine con obras como “No te supe perder” (2013), como en productoras, dirigiendo documentales como “Calañas” (2014), “La Dehesa” (2015), “El Castañar” (2015), “El Cerdo Ibérico” (2016), “Los Colegios Públicos Rurales” (2017), “Cortegana” (2017) e “Higuera de la Sierra” (2018). Tras su trayectoria en el mundo de los documentales, Tamara también ha realizado videos promocionales, spots televisivos y ha ejercido de realizadora de piezas de programas como Campechanos en Canal Sur (2017-2020). Esta directora ha estado siempre vinculada al mundo audiovisual dentro de las zonas rurales reivindicando la labor social de los agricultor@s y ganader@s, así como la importancia del patrimonio natural de Andalucía, llegando a participar a nivel internacional en la VII Conferencia Internacional Vía Campesina. Desde 2020, Tamara continúa su recorrido profesional actualizando su formación con un Técnico Superior en Animación y un Máster de Formación de Profesorado comenzando a ejercer como docente en ciclos formativos de grado superior como Iluminación, Captación y Tratamiento de la Imagen, Realización de Audiovisuales y Espectáculos y Animación 2D, 3D, Juegos y Entornos Interactivos, así como en el ciclo de grado medio de Video Disc-Jockey y Sonido.

Tamara Benítez began as a filmmaker in 2006, beginning her training in Audiovisual Communication and specializing with a Master's Degree in Scriptwriting, narrative and audiovisual creativity. His professional career has been varied, working both in cinema with works such as “I didn't know how to lose” (2013), and in production companies, directing documentaries such as “Calañas” (2014), “La Dehesa” (2015), “El Castañar” (2015), “The Iberian Pig” (2016), “The Rural Public Schools” (2017), “Cortegana” (2017) and “Higuera de la Sierra” (2018). After her career in the world of documentaries, Tamara has also made promotional videos, television spots and has served as director of pieces for programs such as Campechanos on Canal Sur (2017-2020). This director has always been linked to the audiovisual world within rural areas, defending the social work of farmers and livestock, as well as the importance of the natural heritage of Andalusia, participating internationally in the VII International Vía Campesina Conference. Since 2020, Tamara continues her professional journey by updating her training with a Higher Technician in Animation and a Master's Degree in Teacher Training, beginning to work as a teacher in higher-level training cycles such as Lighting, Image Capture and Processing, Audiovisual Production and Shows. and 2D, 3D Animation, Games and Interactive Environments, as well as in the middle grade cycle of Video Disc-Jockey and Sound.
