Una cineasta en crisis emprende un viaje hasta las últimas fareras. Lo que comienza como una búsqueda externa desemboca en un relato interior donde el proceso de hacer cine se entrelazan con las historias. Una oda a un estilo de vida que desaparece.

A filmmaker in crisis sets out to find the last lighthouse keepers. What begins as a journey across the land becomes a journey within, where the act of filming merges with their fading stories – an ode to a disappearing way of life.

Cristina R. Paz (Oviedo, 1975) cuenta con una trayectoria de más de treinta años en el
departamento de cámara, participando en más de cuarenta largometrajes nacionales e internacionales y colaborando con destacados directores de fotografía. Ha trabajado en ficción, documental, series y publicidad, y ha firmado la dirección de fotografía de largometrajes y documentales. Tras debutar como productora independiente con el cortometraje La luz que nos guía (2024), presenta Aunque seamos Islas (2025), su ópera prima como directora y primer largometraje, un proyecto profundamente personal donde convergen todas sus experiencias, miradas y aprendizajes cinematográficos.

Cristina R. Paz (Oviedo, 1975) has over thirty years of experience working in camera departments on more than forty national and international feature films. Her career spans fiction, documentary, series and advertising, and she has also worked as a director of photography on feature films and documentaries. After making her debut as an independent producer with the short film The Lighting Guide (2024), she now presents Even if we are Islands (2025), her first feature film and directorial debut, a deeply personal project that brings together all her professional experience, creative vision and cinematic sensibility.
