SINOPSIS / SYNOPSIS

Sinopsis Corta:

En la España de los años 70, Ali, un joven estudiante marroquí, lucha contra la discriminación en la universidad mientras intenta aprobar matemáticas. Con la ayuda inesperada de un compañero, desafiará las normas impuestas por la dictadura.

Sinopsis Larga:

Cortometraje basado en un fragmento de la novela de Hassan Al-Hamouti Ouass “LA LUZ AL FINAL DEL TÚNEL”. España, años 70. En una universidad marcada por la
dictadura y la rigidez social, Alí, un joven estudiante de origen marroquí, lucha por encajar en un entorno que lo señala constantemente por sus raíces. Entre burlas veladas, los profesores cuestionan su capacidad injustamente.
Alí necesita aprobar la asignatura de matemáticas para poder seguir adelante con sus estudios. Con ese objetivo, tendrá que convencer al profesor Chiquero para que le revise su examen.
En el camino, encuentra apoyo inesperado en Javier, un compañero de clase que desafía las normas de la época para solidarizarse con él.

Short Synopsis:

In 1970s Spain, Ali, a young Moroccan student, faces discrimination at university while trying to pass his math class. With the unexpected support of a classmate, he challenges the rigid norms of the dictatorship.

Long Synopsis:

Short film based on an excerpt from Hassan Al-Hamouti Ouass's novel "THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL." Spain, 1970s. At a university marked by dictatorship and social rigidity, Ali, a young student of Moroccan origin, struggles to fit in with an environment that constantly singles him out for his roots. Amid veiled mockery, professors unfairly question his abilities. Ali needs to pass his math class to continue his studies. To achieve this, he must convince Professor Chiquero to review his exam. Along the way, he finds unexpected support in Javier, a classmate who defies the norms of the time to show solidarity with him.
